FOOD STOPS: Koh Samui Thai Cuisine
I'm getting used to Thai food lately with restaurants featuring Thai cuisine and some even employing Thai cooks to ensure the authentic Siam taste. And lately we came across Koh Samui Restaurant at Hobbies Center in Macapagal Avenue.
From the facade, it would definitely look Thai with the elephants and the golden details at the door. It looks so regal and makes you feel like a royalty. The interiors are a mix of traditional Thai royal halls with some colonial feel with the tables and the bar. It would definitely be a great venue for parties, weddings, and other celebrations.

FOOD STOPS: Little Asia
Little has it been known that Asian cuisine is not just noodles and dimsum, it is actually the biggest and most diverse array of flavors which one should actually discover. Little Asia proves that indeed Asia is not only big in land mass but also the diversity of the delightful dishes of the east.
We dined in one of their branch located in Tomas Morato where we also met the owner/manager Charlemagne, that helped us in identifying their dishes which ranges from Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, and many more. But first I have noticed the unusual interiors of Little Asia which is more European and classical contemporary with chandelier, mirrors and seats which is quite far from the eastern ambiance. He told us that this kind of interior is not new to Asian restaurants especially in China which gives it a modern yet inviting atmosphere.

Great Food Best Paired With The Best Beer!
![]() |
| What time is it? FOOD ADVENTURE TIME! |
And this why I have my own food blog which started as a section in my main blog Manual To Lyf. Fud Fyt has been part of my blogging life since 2009 and have been to many restaurants in and out of the metro. This opened my understanding of food and drinks. From the ingredients, the preparations the creative ways of servings, and the taste, makes the food experience unforgettable.
I may not be a big time food blogger, but I do love to take time on details and even the cultural relevance of dishes from different places. Indeed it was an adventure especially when I go to far places like Quezon or Baguio. I also say that drinks are part of the great food adventure with a lot of choices and also countless ways to mix them and even pair them with mouthwatering dishes. Years ago, I was not a really a beer drinker thinking that its does not taste good or its will make me feel dizzy. This perspective was probably due to seeing people drinking too much which eventually spoil moments. However, when I was able to try and appreciate drinks such as wine, whiskey and beer completely broke my negative perception of them. Of course, with moderation and control, everything will be fine.
Now looking at the possible pairs that can be made with premium drinks like the San Miguel Lifestyle Brews:

San Miguel Premium All-Malt Premium, San Miguel Super Dry, and Cerveza Negra. Each one is distinct and unique flavor that is best experienced while dining.
Among the three variants, I love the San Miguel All-Malt Premium Beer which surprized as it tasted better than the foreign beers that I have tasted before. I consider this the best beer for me. I tried this at an event where they served San Miguel products and chose to try out the San Miguel All-Malt Premium Beer. The restaurant served Filipino dishes like Bulalo, Bangus, Lumpia and turon! So if you want to go on a gastronomic journey, its your call. Make sure that you make the most of each foodie moment. Savor the flavor, drink moderately, and don't forget desserts! It's always good taste, great pairings with San Miguel Lifestyle Brews.

FOOD NEWS: Figaro Christmas Treats
It's the most wonderful time of the year
There'll be much mistletoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When love ones are near
It's the most wonderful time of the year
For this year they launched a very nice variety of choices starting with the Triple Chocolate Cake, a chocophile treat with a very rich chocolate flavor and texture. And yes, I am one so I love this so much <3 .="." font="font">3>
But the next one should never be missed as it is the Red Velvet Cake which comes with very fiery red appearance but taste as sweet as heaven, just right not too sweet, nor two spongy.
My eyes watered when I saw the Christmas Cupcake with toppings and have this small gold (and edible) decoration. This is just too good to eat, yet irresistible never to be eaten.
And for those who would like to have a toned-down taste with less sweetness, they also came up with Scones which caters to people who are not fans of sugar rush, yet wants to eat something new.
So there you have it, take your pick for your Christmas treats from Figaro!

FOOD STOPS: Baja Mexicana Cantina

Si! If one is stuck, there is nowhere to go but BAJA. Derived from the Baja California which is actually part of Mexico, the restaurant of takes pride with bringing Mexican cuisine to the country. It started when Art, who was part of the biggest loser Pinoy Edition came to the country from the US and was craving for Mexican food which was his favorite back in California, decided to start his own Mexican restaurant in Greenbelt 3 because he was not satisfied with the other Mexican restaurant that got that authentic flavor. The restaurant stayed true with it Mexican cuisine, and in fact they also deliver to movie goers in Greenbelt 3 Cinemas, so it is a great deviation from the popcorn and drinks. Also the feel of the restaurant brings the ambiance of the west cost Mexico which Baja California is located. They have all the favorites like Burrito, Tacos, Nachos, Fajitas, and drinks like Margaritas and Mojito (which I can say is the best Mojito I tasted so far, but since we dined at lunch time, I have to control myself in enjoying too much of the sweet drink). For our highly recommended, I have to say that the burrito had won my heart and I hope it will not kill me, well just as long I don't eat it in one sitting.

And you will also be surprised with (what I think) is the biggest Burrito I have ever seen in the Philippines. It can feed a family and a group of friends. It's also a great place for dates and afternoon chillin' with co-workers as it is near the Makati Business District. Plus just a few steps away is the Greenbelt Cinema, so it can also be a great place to meet up before and after the movie. They also celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Baja Mexicana Cantina, and it is the time that they offer great deals on food and drinks. Mexican food and culture has become so closer to the Philippines. So grab your sombreros and lets have a great Mexican time at Baja Mexicana Cantina !
