Over 200 McDonald’s party areas transform into teachers’ work-friendly McClassroom

In celebration of National Teachers’ Month and in time for the schools opening for SY 2020-2021, McDonald’s transformed 221 of its stores’ party areas into a work-friendly McClassroom from October 9-23, 2020 for teachers to use for free - a fitting and innovative way to help teachers as they shift to distance learning.

Supporting teachers with a work-friendly McClassroom

As teachers adjust to distance learning, McDonald’s recognizes that not all teachers have easy access to spaces that are conducive for conducting online classes. In response to this need, McDonald’s has converted its party spaces into McClassrooms to provide teachers with clean, safe, and work-friendly learning spaces for FREE, so they can focus on delivering lessons to their students with ease. McDonald’s goal is to be able to show support to teachers, as the brand thanks and salutes them for their contribution to nation building through educating one student at a time.

Filipinos express creativity and support for local through Locally’s #LivinLovinLocal

The grand winner is a paper cut artwork submitted
by Althea Monique which depicts Filipinos
supporting local shops and goods.

If there’s one thing that’s true about the new normal, it’s that everyone needs to stick together to get through this. Standing as one and our malasakit needs to shine the most through these trying times. It’s great to see that we encounter stories of our kababayans uplifting each other up with supporting local and buying local nowadays.

It is from the same value of malasakit and bayanihan that Locally Blended Juice Drink—the first local brand of uniquely concocted drinks that come from indigenous fruits sourced from the rich and colorful Filipino soil—sought to find the most talented local artists who could also show their support and honor for our local farmers through art.

Last July, the brand put out a call for all kinds of artwork—digital, traditional, or even unconventional— through the #LivinLovinLocal Art Contest, which shows not only the drink, but also their love for the Philippines, all the beautiful things one can find in the country, and most importantly, honouring the hard work of our Filipino farmers and their produce.

Dingdong and Marian Dantes show the happiness of home life in their Kwentong UFC digital series

“Jose at Maria,” is a kilig-inducing story which celebrates
the little intimate moments Dingdong and Marian
spend together when they’re not busy working
and taking care of the kids.

Even though life has surely changed for everyone during these extraordinary times, some things still stay the same for us to still rely on—things like the love of our family, and our favorite foods. Without these, life would definitely be tougher to get through right now.

One such reliable favorite is beloved NutriAsia brand UFC, trusted by generations of Filipino families. UFC knows what it’s like to share love and happiness with the family at home for 50 years and counting, which is why it celebrated its golden anniversary by tapping Pinoy showbiz power couple Dingdong and Marian Dantes for its Kwentong UFC digital video series.
