Grace Lee's Venture Hoolala Korean Chicken Opens In Ortigas!

We do have to admit that the Koreans has introduced us into many new cuisines with the boom of Korean themed restaurants and serving Bulgogi, Kimchi and Bibimbap. DJ-Host Grace Lee recently embarks on a new point of her career here in the Philippines by having her own restaurant that serves authentic Korean Chicken with Hoolala Korean Chicken in Ortigas Center.

Located in Escrive Drive (near Astoria and Shaw boulevard), Hoolala opened its doors to serve Korean Chicken. And unlike the usual, they come up with a very affordable menu yet authentic Korean Chicken to the core as she is also working with her mother in this enterprise. 


Hoolala represents the fruition of Grace’s dream of showcasing her family’s closely-guarded culinary concoctions for several generations now. KFC Chicken with Clover Chips?

KFC Philippines just launched a new "experimental" dish in their menu and it is called the Crispy Cheese Chicken. It seems to be not that special from the way it sounds but it has a special ingredient to the Chicken, crushed clover chips bits!

I will probably try this new dish if ever I come across a KFC store soon. I do love their original chicken, and I love Clover ships as a snack, the question is if they are good together. Cheese and chicken do actually go well with each other but the case is different when it is mixed with the chicken coating.

King Bee Chinese Food Opens Latest Branch at Fisher Mall

We have featured King Bee Chinese Food in one of their branch in Commonwealth Avenue, and their expansion continues in 2014 with the opening of the latest branch in the newest mall in the metro, Fisher Mall. Located in Quezon Avenue cor Roosevelt Ave, it opens it doors to patrons February 16, 2014 with the ribbon cutting graced by Mr Bobby Del Rosario, owner of Fisher Mall, together with King Bee owners, staff, visitors, friends and guests.  The opening ceremony was followed by a King’s feast. 

With a capacity of more or less a hundred seating capacity, it is good for functions and events. A view of the Quezon city and Quezon Avenue can also be seen outside with an options for al fresco dining. As of today, they are on their soft opening.

I got in the mail, a box from Mondelez Philippines, who are the distributor of imported food products in the Philippines and carry brands such as Toblerone. And inside the box were interesting packs of tortillas which are new to the Pinoy Market.

It turns out to be Chachos Corn Chips which are now available in supermarkets. They come in big bags and perfect for group snacks or even slow single munching. Best when paired with salsa, cheese, or any dip that one would prefer.
