Food Trip: SM City San Lazaro

This summer, its a good idea to get out of the hot weather and have a food trip at the nearest mall. One of the community malls in the area is SM City San Lazaro which houses hundreds of food choices for those adventurous or just want something different.

Me and some fellow bloggers went to taste some of the offerings in the mall particularly at the food court. This is where you can find all-time favorites like Binalot, Sisig Hooray and Master Shomai.

Dining experience gets a level up with quality bread and meat. But it is always our fear that they would be costly and would never fit the budget. Also consider that there are only a few store offering quality meats like Angus beef and authentic bread  like the French would make.

I know that we can indulge ourselves and our family this great tasting treats that will also open our taste horizon and also appreciate French cuisine which is considered as one of the best in the world.

FOOD NEWS: Sumosam opens in SM City Manila

I'm very impressed with how Sumosam is expanding its business to many places in the metro offering the best Japanese cuisine that is loved by many Filipinos. And recently, the newest branch of Sumosam just opened in the SM City Manila which is offering the very well-loved Sumosam menu.

Present in the opening is the successful entrepreneur actor Marvin Agustin who received awards last year for his success with his restaurants. He is very hands on with the business which in the previous features of his restaurants he is always present and always willing to showcase his skills and also his staff.

FOOD STOPS: Koh Samui Thai Cuisine

I'm getting used to Thai food lately with restaurants featuring Thai cuisine and some even employing Thai cooks to ensure the authentic Siam taste. And lately we came across Koh Samui Restaurant at Hobbies Center in Macapagal Avenue.

From the facade, it would definitely look Thai with the elephants and the golden details at the door. It looks so regal and makes you feel like a royalty. The interiors are a mix of traditional Thai royal halls with some colonial feel with the tables and the bar. It would definitely be a great venue for parties, weddings, and other celebrations.

Another branch of the Filipino coffee brand Figaro now opens a new store in Bonifacio Global City at the Fort Pointe. The new franchise store is located at 28th street near Bonifacio High Street, BGC.

Little has it been known that Asian cuisine is not just noodles and dimsum, it is actually the biggest and most diverse array of flavors which one should actually discover. Little Asia proves that indeed Asia is not only big in land mass but also the diversity of the delightful dishes of the east.

We dined in one of their branch located in Tomas Morato where we also met the owner/manager Charlemagne, that helped us in identifying their dishes which ranges from Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, and many more. But first I have noticed the unusual interiors of Little Asia which is more European and classical contemporary with chandelier, mirrors and seats which is quite far from the eastern ambiance. He told us that  this kind of interior is not new to Asian restaurants especially in China which gives it a modern yet inviting atmosphere.

I love going on Food Adventures.

And this why I have my own food blog which started as a section in my main blog Manual To Lyf. Fud Fyt has been part of my blogging life since 2009 and have been to many restaurants in and out of the metro. This opened my understanding of food and drinks. From the ingredients, the preparations  the creative ways of servings, and the taste, makes the food experience unforgettable. 

I may not be a big time food blogger, but I do love to take time on details and even the cultural relevance of dishes from different places. Indeed it was an adventure especially when I go to far places like Quezon or Baguio. I also say that drinks are part of the great food adventure with a lot of choices and also countless ways to mix them and even pair them with mouthwatering dishes. 

Years ago, I was not a really a beer drinker thinking that its does not taste good or its will make me feel dizzy. This perspective was probably due to seeing people drinking too much which eventually spoil moments. However, when I was able to try and appreciate drinks such as wine, whiskey  and beer completely broke my negative perception of them. Of course, with moderation and control, everything will be fine.
