How To "Buy" votes for 7-Election!?

With 7-Eleven’s informal and unofficial presidential poll involving not vote-counting machines but GULP® softdrinks and GULP® juices in fun-colored GULP® cups, you can now promote and support your presidential candidate in a fun way. The 7-Election 2016, which mainly aims to promote awareness about the coming Philippine Presidential Election, runs in all 7-Eleven stores until May 2. 

Before rushing to the nearest 7-Eleven store, here are seven things you can do by voting through 7-Election:

The Vote M&M’S® 2016 Campaign Heats Up At Exciting Miting De Avance

From catchy campaign slogans to snazzy jingles, the Vote M&M’S® 2016 Campaign heated up at the exciting Miting de Avance, held at the Makati Coliseum last April 22, 2016.  

Guests cheered the arrival of Red, Yellow and Green as they made their grand entrance from the M&M’S® Motorcade and the three M&M’S® Characters went on to wow the crowd as they danced, debated and posed with fans. 

The event was a fun way to get to know the three M&M’S® candydates vying to win the M&M’S® Character of the Year Award.  At the Q&A, the three characters revealed their fun personalities as they answered all-important questions like Why should I vote for you?  and showcased their talent at a dance-off supported by their respective cheer squad. 

Guests were also able to play games like the ring toss, swim in the ball pit and win colorful M&M’S® merchandise. Of course, they all stopped by the ballot box to support their candydate and took home souvenir photos decked in the paraphernalia of their favorite M&M’S® character.

“Last year, the M&M’S® Characters had a fantastic time visiting the Philippines’ most popular tourist sites. Red, Yellow and Green loved it here so much that they couldn’t resist coming back and bringing their own brand of spontaneous fun to the elections,” said Henry Azcarraga, Mars Chocolate, Philippines Country Director.

McDonald’s Philippines treats thousands of Joys to a best-tasting experience

“Joys” of all ages enjoyed a special treat from McDonalds Philippines during the first ever Chicken McDo Day held last April 22.

To celebrate this joyful day, everyone named “Joy” or any of its variations (Joi,” “Joyce,” “Joice,” and “Joyann”) were treated to McDonald’s best-tasting Chicken McDo for free. What’s more, each Joy was allowed to bring one companion who also received a free 1pc Chicken McDo with Rice as they dined and bonded at McDonald’s.

Paella Gigante kicks-off Flavors of the Philippines

Organized by Greenbelt, the Sociedad Española de Beneficencia (SEB), LTB Chefs Association and the Spain Tourism Board, the fourth Festival dela Paella Gigante gathered some of the best chefs in the Philippines to cook the biggest paella in the country for a charitable cause. The event was also the launch of Flavors of the Philippines, a month-long and nationwide series of activities initiated by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) and Department of Tourism (DOT) that celebrates the unique and rich cultural heritage of Filipinos.

Owned by Mharvin Ko, his love for food is evident as his love for his family, Boboy’s is actually his way of expressing his love and sharing it.  The place is actually named after his uncle, who is also a food lover, to make it more local and pinoy and what better way to make it pinoy but by serving foods that pinoy loves and enjoys.

Top on the list is their pork barbecue and isaw ng baboy, two commonly known street foods brought to front by the flavors that they get to infused into it.  Can be ordered solo or in big batch, with or without rice, this is soon to be a crowd favorite once you get to taste it.  They also have isaw ng manok, chicken inasal (rice meal), liempo (rice meal), dinaing na bangus (rice meal), fish fillet meal for you to choose from and enjoy!  Not only do they have that, they also serve local favorites such as stir fried kangkong, crunchy baby shrimps, lumpiang shanghai, lumpiang sariwa, tokwa’t baboy, sisig  and fried lumpiang vegetable.

Machiko Chiba Brings Taste of Japan in Manila

Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan (MAFF) held a cooking demonstration cooperating with Chef Machiko Chiba entitled "Taste of Japan in Manila" on March 14, 2016 at 9501 14/F ELJ Center, Mother Ignacia St. South Triangle, Quezon City, for the second time this year. The first time was held on Jan 21.

Based in New York and Tokyo, Chef Machiko Chiba conducts Japanese cooking classes in different counties. A proponent of "good food and good health", Ms. Chiba teaches aspiring professional chefs from all over the world. "Taste of Japan in Manila” included a short lecture on Japanese cuisine to help participants fully appreciate the uniqueness of the famous gustatory treat. Authentic recipes of famous Japanese vegetables, meat, seafood and fruit dishes were prepared before the audience. Chef Chiba also did a Japanese version of the famous Philippine dish adobo.

Hundreds of thousands of Filipinos join McDonald’s 4th National Breakfast Day

March 14 was definitely McDonald’s best Monday ever! For the fourth year in a row, McDonald's National Breakfast Day delighted Filipinos across the country with free McMuffin sandwiches.

With over 400 stores nationwide who took part in the event, hundreds of thousands of Filipinos enjoyed a free and delicious McMuffin to start to their day.

From 6:00AM to 7:00AM, families, groups of friends, and individuals woke up extra early and flocked to participating McDonald's stores for their free breakfast treat via dine-in, take-out, and drive-thru.
