Reaffirming its commitment to environmental sustainability, CCBPI mobilized its associates across its various sites in Metro Manila, Ilocos, Abra, Laguna, Cebu, and Tacloban, with upcoming cleanups in other areas, to keep coasts and waterways free from litter.

CCBPI associates joined volunteers from the private and public sectors, led by DENR officials and representatives Undersecretary for Finance, Information Systems, and Climate Change Analiza Rebuelta-Teh and Assistant Secretary for Policy, Planning, International Affairs and Climate Change Noralene Uy, PhD. to collect debris and marine waste at the Manila Dolomite Beach.

“At CCBPI, we recognize that our role extends beyond delivering refreshing beverages. As long-time partners of the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC), we are proud to be working with the government, local communities, and all the volunteers in our shared responsibility of protecting our waters and creating a more sustainable future for all,” says Atty. Juan Lorenzo Tañada, VP for Corporate & Regulatory Affairs of CCBPI.

Tañada adds, “We continue to drive our commitment further through our nationwide collection and recycling initiatives for recyclable packaging—giving them new lives and diverting them away from our oceans. We actively conduct coastal and river cleanups year-round, as we help preserve the pristine environment of the communities where we operate in.”

The global International Coastal Cleanup aligns with Coca-Cola's commitment to environmental stewardship—emphasizing the significance of collective action for cleaner, healthier oceans. CCBPI's annual participation underscores the company's dedication to forging strong partnerships and harnessing the power of collaboration to advance the shared goals of responsible waste management in local communities.
