Bread is becoming more of a staple with Filipinos as the days goes by. We are now opening our pastry diversity with the opening of new products from different markets. And one brand coming from Japan has recently opened their plant and distribution to the Philippines. Nippon Premium Bakery Inc. which hails from Japan in partnership of Sojitz Corporation, Ryoyu Baking Co. Ltd, and JR&R Distributors Inc. to come up with th Fuwa Fuwa bread brand.
The company was established in 2017 and has acquired a plant in Sto. Tomas Batangas inside the First Philippine Industrial Park. Fuwa Fuwa means fluffy in Japanese and true to its name, the products that they offer are a variety of fluffy loaves, buns, and rolls that are now available in the market, intially in Metro Manila.
The opening was attended by executives of the companies and also by the representative of the government of Japan. The plant took more than a year to be completed and their equipment are made and came from Japan to make sure of the high standards that they also practice there. This venture provided job opportunities for Filipinos in bread production and distribution which will expand more as they grow their distribution reach and customers.
For now they are available in selected supermarkets in Metro Manila and as they officially launched the brand are looking forward to maximize their production and also open up more plants in the future.
But what kind of breads do they offer?
As their initial product line up for now, they have two variants for Loaf Bread, Custard Buns, and Cream rolls (vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry) now available in the market.
Taking time to do things right made all the difference. Their breads are made by skilled Japanese bakers who meticulously select the ingredients to produce a unique taste and achieve that savory goodness which gives comforting delight to consumers. This makes every piece of Fuwa Fuwa bread bring out a flavor that is unique to Japan.
