Calling families, friends, and…even furry friends! McDonald’s is set to mount its well-loved Stripes Run: a fun, advocacy-driven running event that brings together families and friends to support Filipino children's literacy.

To be held on December 10 at the SM MOA Concert Grounds, McDonald’s Stripes Run continues to raise one million pesos for Ronald McDonald House Charities’ (RMHC) Read to Learn program which aims to elevate the literary skills of Grades 1 and 2 public school students. RMHC is McDonald’s Charity of Choice, committed to improving the well-being of Filipino children and Families.

Now on its 12th year, Stripes Run 2023 invites more Filipinos to run for reading as it welcomes not only families and friends, but fur babies as well! Through the new 1K Fur Stripes category, pets can now participate alongside their fur moms and dads, letting them enjoy the run’s festivities, too. Fur Stripes will be available as a category for interested participants upon registering, alongside a wide variety of other categories for different distances and age groups: 1K Kiddie Stripes, 3K Stripes, 3K Family Stripes, 5K Stripes, 5K Squad Stripes, and 10K Stripes.

Modest scooters adorned with towering stacks behind! No, it's not the bustling streets of Thailand, but a riveting scooter race between 8-time MotoGP World Champion, Marc Marquez, and his Moto2 world Champion brother, Alex Marquez, as they weave through the quiet, grassy dirt tracks of Buriram. In this eccentric pre-Grand Prix challenge, the brothers pitted their skills against each other, turning the competition into a spectacle that showcased their balance and competitiveness.

In the first sprint of the scooter race, Alex and Marc faced the challenge of maneuvering 17 bags filled with Thai silk, weighing over 150kg and stretching over 4 meters wide, leading to a collision at the first roundabout. A wide final turn by Alex resulted in a ditch encounter, enabling Marc to cross the finish line first.

Red Bull Dance Your Style National Winner “JXYB” Takes the Philippines to Germany

Excitement builds as the clock ticks down to the most awaited dance competition of the year. In a celebration of creativity, individuality, and the rich genres of dance, the Philippines is gearing up to take over the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Finals in Frankfurt, Germany. After securing his win at the National Finals in Manila, Louries “JXYB” Dhztine Bernardino will be representing the country in the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Finals. His unique style and technique shined through fifteen other dancers who came from all different provinces across the Philippines – Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Zamboanga, and Baguio to name a few. The variety of provinces brought a mix of cultures and identities onto the stage, but in the end, “JXYB”’s unique style stood out and won them the crown. With the World Finals now approaching, “JXYB”  is ready to bring his A-game to the international dance floor.
