FOOD NEWS: Sumosam opens in SM City Manila

I'm very impressed with how Sumosam is expanding its business to many places in the metro offering the best Japanese cuisine that is loved by many Filipinos. And recently, the newest branch of Sumosam just opened in the SM City Manila which is offering the very well-loved Sumosam menu.

Present in the opening is the successful entrepreneur actor Marvin Agustin who received awards last year for his success with his restaurants. He is very hands on with the business which in the previous features of his restaurants he is always present and always willing to showcase his skills and also his staff.

Located on the 4th floor of the mall, it used to be Tokyo Grill which shares some similarities with the Sumosam menu, with more restaurants relocated and opening in the future, upgrading it to Sumosam would be a good move since it would bear the flagship brand of the restaurants without completely overhauling the store.

With some revisions with the interiors of Tokyo Grill, it comes back to the neo-Japanese ambiance of Sumosam and is getting attention to mall goers especially for those who love Japanese. Marvin was also happy to dine in with us as we try the favorites dishes like the Tempura, Shashimi, Chicken Teriyaki, Tokyo Fried Rice, Bacon and Shrimp Roll, and my forever favorite shushi. Paired with Red or Green Iced Tea is really a great way to fill up and escape to Japan for a while.

We also got a chance to get to taste something new from the menu, the Sumosam Popsicle!  They come in different flavors of Pistachio, Green Tea, Black Sesame, and Choco Banana.

More stores will be opened soon, and they will also be making new  dishes on their menu that will definitely make people come back for more of Sumosam.
